Sauvignon Blanc 2021 - a wonderful vintage

Minerally delicate and fruity opulent - that's how we know the great Sauvignon from Edi Simcic. The 2021 vintage is wonderfully fresh and lively. The Sauvignon Blanc by Edi Simcic from the Slovenian top wine region Goriska Brda was classically matured in barriques. The proximity to the wines of Burgundy is unmistakable in terms of aroma and style.

The Sauvignon Blanc variety, known for its characteristic aromas and "grassiness", is reinterpreted by Edi Simcic. It shows its strength where crisp accents of green peppers or fresh grass would otherwise stand out, with clear aromas of apricots, peaches, herbs and gooseberries. There are also fresh notes of citrus fruits, such as blood orange and grapefruit, which make the wine from Slovenia a feast for the senses. Accompanied by gentle smoke aromas and elderberry. Rounded off by a pronounced minerality.

On the palate it is in top form. Juicy, powerful and with a depth that is second to none. A bravura Sauvignon Blanc. So different and so good.
