Pleterje Sauvignon 2021 semi dry

The Pleterje Sauvignon Blanc is convincing all along the line.

The vines for the Pleterje Charterhouse Sauvignon were planted 12 years ago on the south-facing Pleterje hill at a density of 4,000 vines per hectare. At the beginning of the first four harvest years, cellar master Joze Simoncic used them to produce only noble sweet wines. For several years now, the semi-dry white wine has been made from the Sauvignon grape variety.

In the glass, we see a delicate yellow with green highlights. The full fruit aromas in the fragrance are reminiscent of tropical fruits, a little of nutmeg and elderberry. A typical Sauvignon of the region.

On the palate, the fine residual sweetness, intense fruit aromas and light acidity combine to create a harmonious whole. The white wine is invigorating and, due to its rather low alcohol content combined with its beautiful freshness, is also great for the warmer summer months.
