The Angel Belo from the Batic winery in the Vipava Valley in Slovenia is no everyday white wine, nor is it intended for everyday enjoyment. It is a very special wine for very special occasions.

A white wine, an orange wine for red wine drinkers. Broad and powerful. Ripe yellow fruits, caramel, butter and apples are some of the perceptions. Some quince, some smoke, light vanilla. In the mouth, beautiful fruit, moderate, ripe acidity and exceptional elegance in both smell and taste. One wonders: is this wine experience comparable to something familiar? The answer: no, hardly. Finding such depth, opulence and long-lasting aroma structure in a white wine of this still young vintage seems impossible.
