Mezzo Forte Cuvée of four red wine varieties

After the hand-picking, fermentation of about a week in open wooden fermenters and the subsequent fermentation, the Santomas Mezzo Forte matures for 15 months in used French 350L and 225L barrique oak barrels. Awarded a silver medal by Decanter, 90 points by Jeb Dunnuck and a gold medal at the AWC Vienna.

We can immediately see the Refosk content of the wine from its colour. It is a bright, deep purple. On the nose, we perceive intense, ripe aromas reminiscent of prunes and blackberries, slightly jammy with a hint of black pepper and some oak. A very pleasant balance of oily texture, long finish, invigorating acidity and fine tannins. The interplay of varietal aromas invites you to discover something new with every sip.
