Kozana Chardonnay - A flagship for the wine region

The Primorska region, where Gorishka Brda is located, is a truly blessed wine region. Influences from the Mediterranean meet the protection of the Alps. The combination promotes the creation of full-bodied wines with a continental freshness and beautiful minerality.

The Kozana Chardonnay from the vineyard of the same name is an excellent terroir wine. Northwest-facing – sunny but also windy. The soil is interspersed with bricks and large stones, with plenty of water in the deep hills, exceptional soil permeability. The Chardonnay vines in this vineyard have very deep roots and were planted in 1986.

The colour is light and already suggests the freshness of the white wine. The aromas are full and balanced due to the ageing in barriques. Figs, floral notes of white flowers, caramel, butterscotch and woody nuances. Very lively and well-structured. A complex wine experience, intense and wonderfully creamy. The Kozana Chardonnay has a long finish.
