Matic Pinot Gris 2023

Slovenian orange wine Pinot Gris

From the colour of the Pinot Gris from Matic in the bottle, one would not immediately assume a white wine. The orange wine remains in contact with the skin for almost 18 days, which gives it this beautiful colour and texture. Like all Matic wines in this line, it is unfiltered and aged in steel tanks.

On the nose, we perceive red apples, a hint of grapefruit and even a slight hint of forest honey. On the palate, invigorating aromas of lemons, red apple peel and orchard fruits. The finish is luscious and long with a lingering beautiful note of dried oranges. Despite the longer maceration time, the Pinot Gris from Slovenia is fresh, lively and hardly characterised by tannins, which makes it wonderfully soft.

A great natural wine and a nice way to surprise your guests with an unusual white wine.
