Edi Simcic's Rebula

The Rebula is arguably the most popular white wine variety in the Goriska Brda region in Slovenia. It has many faces. With their Rebula, Edi and Aleks Simcic show us the elegant, intense side of the grape variety based on the mineral saltiness of the soil. Only the best grapes from the vines are used. The vines themselves are 25-35 years old.

On the nose, the white wine is both youthful and ripe at the same time. Fine toasted notes, brioche, vanilla and juicy fruit notes of apples, honeydew melon and apricots. In addition, there are fine herbal notes. A magnificent rebula.

The salty minerality emerges on the palate. The wine is voluminous, long-lasting and lines the mouth wonderfully.

Enjoy it with hearty dishes.
