A gem from the Brda region

The Single Vineyard range is the premium range from the Edi Simcic winery. As the name suggests, the vines grow together in the best location. The Sauvignon vines are located in a northerly direction in the Fojana vineyard with a denser soil structure, consisting of brick mixed with clay. Perfect for Sauvignon, a slightly cooler vineyard due to the influence of northerly winds. Plenty of water, never stressed by periods of drought.

On the nose, fruity aromas of gooseberry combined with exotic notes of mango, kiwi and white peach. Plus the scent of freshly mown grass. On the palate, it is very well structured, with pleasant tannins, smoky aromas and an engaging volume. The salty minerality creates an excellent, harmonious balance.

With this great white wine from Goriska Brda in Slovenia, Edi Simcic and Aleks Simcic show their full potential. Chapeau!
