Movia Lunar Sivi Pinot - The wine of the moon

With the Movia Lunar, nature does most of what humans normally do with the help of the moon. The most natural and purest wine with no added sulfur. Pure nature in a glass.

The hand-picked Pinot Gris in the vineyards of the Movia winery in Brda is late. Care is taken to ensure that a maximum of 2 hours elapse between the harvest and the start of fermentation. The hand-rubbed grapes mature in special new oak barrels, which have been converted to the in-house process and give the wine more room to follow the phases of the moon. After 7 months of aging and stirring gently by hand, the wine is bottled under the full moon without the addition of sulphur, unfiltered and without mechanical pressure. This very gentle process gives the Lunar its wonderful structure and reflects the closeness to nature of the orange wine.

Valentin Bufolin (2022 Best Sommelier of Slovenia, Vice President of Slovenian Sommelier Association): "A clear, amber-colored wine with a dense texture that quickly stops turning in the glass. The bloom is intense, particularly fruity. We discover aromas of ripe apricots , peach, red apple, yellow fig, grape berries in alcohol, mango and pineapple. The candied orange is joined by notes of dandelion, wild mint and thyme. At the same time we perceive a light note of dry straw, saffron, liquorice and cloves. We perceive the softness of the wine that appears dry but gives way to the robustness of lively freshness, minerality and accentuated tannins.A wine of intensity and seriousness, long persistence and elegance that looks to its long future.A wine with a harmonious character that with its edge gait, reflecting the notes of the grapes in the alcohol that enhances the aging of the whole bunch in the barrel he emphasizes. These characteristics make it ideal with risottos with mushrooms, potato dumplings with rabbit or veal stew, blue fish, baked octopus. For the more daring, the dish must be accompanied with mavrahi and pržaljecu."
