Magnum size red wine cuvée of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc

Bordeaux meets Slovenia. After careful selection and harvesting by hand, the grapes for the Duet Lex red wine cuvée from Edi Simcic undergo a 14-day maceration and mature for 36-42 months in oak barriques. The Duet Lex reflects the soil and the region Goriska Brda in a fascinating way. It has a unique minerality and elegance. 80% Merlot and 10% each Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc combine to create something great.

The first thing we see in the glass is the captivating ruby red of the wine. It is complex on the nose, with fruity aromas of cherry, cassis and plum, framed by spicy cedarwood, thyme, bay leaf and mocha. This interplay of aromas and the pleasant feeling on the palate make it an excellent red wine. It is demanding and engaging, but never too voluminous or powerful. The long finish is the icing on the cake of this red wine from Slovenia. Incredibly good!
