Wine liqueur made from the rare regional variety Žametovka

This sweet wine liqueur is made from the Žametovka grape. This traditional red wine variety, which is very well known in Slovenia, is known for its appealing acidity and is a regional speciality. Unfortunately, it is used less and less these days, making this wine liqueur all the more interesting.

It gives the Pleterje wine liqueur its strength and freshness, berry scent and light floral notes. At 20%, the alcohol content is slightly lower than in most liqueurs, while the sugar content is slightly higher. This combination gives the wine liqueur its fruity freshness and wonderfully sweet flavour.

Pleterje wine liqueur is an excellent accompaniment to desserts, but it is also delicious on its own. We recommend cooling it to bring out its full freshness.
