The Fojana Chardonnay Single Vinyard by Edi Simcic is a distinctive single site wine, characterized by the terroir of the Goriska Brda wine region in Slovenia and aging in barriques. The grapes come exclusively from the outstanding Fojana site, which gives the white wine its own character.
Pronounced golden color in the glass and aromas of stone fruit, tropical fruits such as pineapple, mango and banana as well as caramel. A true feast of aromas, accompanied by mineral notes of the terroir.
In the mouth it is spacious, creamy and has a great structure. The Fojana Chardonnay keeps the exact balance of alcohol, fruit, acidity and minerality. The finish is long and underlines the class of this Chardonnay from Slovenia.
With this single site wine, Edi Simcic has created an intense and complex white wine that we could always find in Burgundy. Combined with the advantages of the terroir of the Goriska Brda region, something new and unique is emerging. A great wine experience for all the senses.
