Harmonious, strong Chardonnay - a great white wine
When fully ripe, the Chardonnay grapes are picked by hand and processed gently. The Slovenian white wine matures on the lees in used oak barrels for 12 months. It is then left to rest in the bottle for a few more years until it is perfectly ripe for consumption. This approach produces a Chardonnay from Goriska Brda in Slovenia with great depth and aroma.
In the glass a bright yellow with greenish reflections and very good structure as it slides along the glass. Clearly fruity on the nose with a mixture of aromas of citrus fruits, apples, pears, figs and more exotic pineapple and papaya, but also jasmine flowers, cherries and apples and herbs. Luxurious, warm, all-encompassing in the mouth, very creamy. The fruit becomes jam, accompanied by aromas of roasted hazelnuts and vanilla. At the end, warm spices are added and round off the white wine aromatically.
A great Chardonnay that also accompanies meat dishes and very aromatic dishes wonderfully.
