Bregar Sauvignonasse 2018

Grüner Sauvignon – this excellent grape variety is almost exclusively found in Goriska Brda

In Slovenia, we find the green Sauvignon or Sauvignonasse, mainly in the Goriska Brda region. At Bregar, the grapes are harvested by hand and only pressed under light pressure. The wine matures for 6 months in steel tanks on the fine yeast before continuing its further maturation in the bottle.

In the glass, the white wine from Slovenia has a straw-yellow colour with greenish highlights. The diverse bouquet of Sauvignonasse is dominated by fruity notes, among which the scent of almonds dominates, while in the background a whole meadow of aromas of Mediterranean flowers and herbs extends. On the palate, it surprises with its warm character, rounded off by delicate aromas of peach, pear, apricot and chamomile blossom, but also by the slightly grassy spiciness of paprika.

As with all Bregar wines, only the perfectly ripe wines are sold. Currently vintage 2018!
