Vinakoper Capris Eko Refosk 2021 organic wine

The first organic wine from the Vinakoper winery

The Refosk vines for Vinakoper's Eko Refosk grow on 1.2 hectares, not far from the Mediterranean Sea, and are cultivated according to organic principles. After a gentle harvest and fermentation, the Slovenian organic red wine matures for 24 months in oak barrels. This is how it gets its wonderful body and depth.

In the glass, the Eko Refosk has an intense ruby red colour with violet reflections, which is typical of Refosk. On the nose, dark berries, cherry, notes of black mulberry and dark chocolate emerge. On the palate, it is initially fresh and fruity before developing its rich structure. A light spiciness is added, along with beautifully integrated tannins, before the long finish sets in.

Vinakoper's Eko Refosk is a wonderfully matured, fruity and aromatic Refosk. And an excellent organic wine from Slovenia.
