Full-bodied, velvety, elegant

The Carignano is a grape variety native to Sardinia, which some may also know as Graciano from Spain. There it is often used in fine cuvées and is highly valued for its intense aroma and delicate bouquet. The Pedrastella vines grow on a plateau in the south of Sardinia at an altitude of approx. 350m. The soil is characterised by clay, sand and limestone.

In the glass, it has an intense ruby red colour with brilliant highlights. It has a voluminous bouquet of red fruits, cherry and blackberry, perfectly spicy with a pleasantly bitter, peppery note. It is well-balanced on the palate. It matured for 6 months in French oak barriques and now impresses with beautiful velvety tannins. The finish is brilliant and long.
