Syrah for all senses
As with all wines from the Santomas winery, the vines for the Syrah were hand-picked. The fermentation takes place for about 2 weeks. After pressing and fermentation, the Syrah begins its 15-month aging in used French oak barrels 350L and 225L barrique. The used barriques give the wine just the right tannin structure to create depth and balance.
A purplish purple in the glass. On the nose, the Santomas Syrah is young, spicy and rounded off by the floral aromas known from the variety. Perceptible agility and freshness. The texture is oily and has an enveloping softness.
A red wine as we wish it to be. Young, full-bodied, perfectly integrated tannins, low acidity and infinitely soft. A Syrah from Slovenia that delights all the senses.
