Santomas Mezzo Forte 2018

Mezzo Forte Cuvée made from four red wine varieties

After the manual harvest, fermentation of about a week in open wooden fermenters and the subsequent fermentation, the Santomas Mezzo Forte matures for 15 months in used French 350L and 225L barrique oak barrels. Awarded a silver medal from the Decanter, 90 points from Jeb Dunnuck and a gold medal from the AWC Vienna.

In the color we immediately see the Refosk part of the wine. He shows a bright, deep purple. On the nose we perceive intense, ripe aromas reminiscent of prunes and blackberries, slightly jammy with hints of black pepper and some oak. A very pleasant balance of oily texture, long finish, invigorating acidity and fine tannins. The game of varietal flavors invites you to discover with every sip.
