The Le Bombarde from the Santa Maria La Palma winery was named after the beach of the same name in Sardinia, near which grapes for regional red wines from the island still grow. The cannons on the label symbolise the strong character of the Sardinians in their defence against various seafarers who wanted to take the island and the beach.

The Cannonau vines for Le Bombarde grow in coastal limestone soils that are very rich in minerals, pampered by maritime breezes and the Sardinian sun. A perfect location for the Cannonau grape variety.

After the harvest and maceration, the red wine from Sardinia matures in Slovenian oak barrels. It has an intense ruby red colour with beautiful reflections. It has a fruity and spicy bouquet. Juicy plums, cherries, light warming spices. Soft and juicy on the palate with pleasant tannins.

A full-bodied, full-flavoured red wine at a great price!
