Ripe fruit, powerful, fresh
The Burja Bela white wine cuvée in the orange wine style from Primoz Lavrencic is a wonderful union of Rebula, Malvasia and Welschriesling. Characterised by the fresh acidity and aromatic power of Rebula. Refined by the floral and spicy notes of Malvasia. Rounded off with the complex and ripe fruit of Welschriesling.
The grapes come from vines in two vineyards, one 60 years old and the other 20 years old, and are harvested exclusively by hand. After a minimum of 10 months in large oak barrels and concrete tanks, Burja Bela is bottled. Primoz Lavrencic uses only the best grapes from both vineyards for this cuvée. The result is excellent quality with a low yield. The Burja winery is one of the pioneers in Slovenia in using concrete eggs for maturation. In combination with barrique barrels, they give the wine a very unique and incomparable touch.
Like all wines from the Burja winery, the Bela is also produced biodynamically, unfiltered and in spontaneous fermentation.
The texture of the Burja Bela is uniquely oily. It coats the entire mouth and allows the wine to linger. Aromas of citrus, apricots, fruit compote. Light vanilla and herbal aromas. Very pleasant tannins.
The Burja Bela is an excellent orange wine from Slovenia. See for yourself!
