Voluminous, deep, elegant Cabernet Sauvignon from Slovenia
90 points from wine critic Jeb Dunnuck and a gold medal at the AWC Vienna reflect the class of Santomas Cabernet Sauvignon.
Hand-picked, table-selected grapes form the basis of the Santomas Antonius Cabernet Sauvignon. Fermentation takes place over 2-3 weeks before the red wine from Slovenia begins to mature after several months on the yeast and fermentation. 24 months in new 350L French oak barrels.
The Cabernet Sauvignon shines in the glass with a deep ruby red color with a violet touch. Ripe aromas reminiscent of pepper, coffee, chocolate, jam and leather emerge on the nose, rounded off by subtle notes of blackberries and cherries. A voluminous, full-bodied, dry red wine on the palate. Great structure, very elegant. Ripe, rich, juicy with round tannins.
A complex and unique Cabernet Sauvignon from Santomas.
