Il Farneto Berzmein 2020 Organic Wine

The hand-picked Marzemino grapes for Il Farneto Berzmein ferment for 6-7 days in cement tanks on the skins. Marzemino is a very old, traditional Italian grape variety. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is transferred to used tonneaux barrels (500-litre oak barrels) for a year and then bottled unfiltered.

In the glass, it has a ruby red colour with amaranth reflections. On the nose and palate, it captivates with a fascinating combination of forest fruit aromas and tertiary notes of spices such as cloves, which are typical of this grape variety. On the palate, it has a lovely freshness, very round and soft with beautifully developed tannins.
