Vanja Dujc can also be described as Slovenia's olive oil pope. The mechanical engineer started his own business in the mid-1980s, bought a piece of land near Koper in Slovenian Istria and his first olive plants. A lot has happened since then. As a self-taught man with a great passion for liquid gold, he has developed over the years into one of Slovenia's most respected olive oil producers. His olive oils regularly win awards at the Feinschmecker Olio Awards and are among the best olive oils in the world.
