Batic Rebula 2022

An extraordinary Rebula / Ribolla Gialla from the Vipava Valley

The Rebula vines grew on marl soil in the Vogrsko and Brajda locations in the Slovenian Vipava Valley. Miha Batic plants the Rebula vines extremely densely, with 12,000 vines per hectare. Each vine carries only 0.5 kg of grapes! The yield is therefore only 35 to 40 hectoliters per hectare. Only the best grapes go into this extraordinary white wine, which borders on orange wine.

In the aroma we immediately recognize different ripe fruits, like in a nice compote. In addition, notes of vanilla and butter, accompanied by pleasant minerality. You can philosophize about the creaminess of this rebula in the mouth and the long, persistent finish. Try it yourself. You will know what we mean. A wonderfully coherent and complex Rebula that gives the connoisseur plenty of space to experience. Bravo, Miha Batic!
