Vinakoper Capris Refošk sparkling wine

A rarity: red sparkling wine made from the Refosco grape in Slovenia

The Vinakoper Capris Refosk sparkling wine has a truly deep ruby red colour with purple hues. The Refosco grapes were harvested exclusively by hand in the second half of September.

The Refosk gives the semi-dry sparkling wine a bouquet of ripe, dark berries and cherries. The acid balance is wonderfully successful here. The Capris Refosk is significantly drier and more refreshing than the name suggests.

On the palate, it is tangy, elegant, velvety and, thanks to the soft tannins, never too fruity, but beautifully balanced with a long finish.
