A great rosé from Slovenia, on the border between dry and semi-dry.
The grapes grew in the Vogrsko and Brajda sites of the Vipava Valley, on marl and clay soils. The Cabernet Sauvignon vines are extremely densely planted, with 11,900 vines per hectare. The yield is only 40 hectolitres per hectare. Miha Batic uses only the best and ripest grapes for this organic rosé. The vines are given the opportunity to put all their energy into the grapes.
The rosé wine was first released in 1987. It is produced in the traditional way, with the grapes being harvested by hand and carefully selected. Fermentation occurs spontaneously in stainless steel tanks using only the grape's own yeasts. It is produced in a dry way with just a hint of residual sugar.
The bouquet has delicate notes of wild strawberries, raspberries and herbs such as mint and pepper. The first impression in the mouth is of a light body, a pleasant acidity and delicious aromas of red berries.
One of the most complex rosé wines we know of. It takes you on a journey of pleasure. It is precisely this feeling that makes it so special.
