A full-bodied and mild Blaufränkisch

The Modra Frankinja (Blaufränkisch) from the Pleterje monastery in the Dolenjska region of Slovenia has an intense ruby red colour with bright red highlights. The Pleterje monastery produces red and rosé wines from this beautiful red grape variety.

The Blaufränkisch has a fresh, berry-like bouquet with a full aroma. It is very animating. In the mouth, we perceive ripe, pleasantly sweet tannins and, once again, berries complemented by slightly peppery notes.

The finish is pleasantly dry, typical of the variety. It is a fresh red wine bursting with fruit and strength. With its relatively low alcohol content, it is a wonderful wine for a snack or for barbecues on warmer days.

This Blaufränkisch from Slovenia awakens the spirits and delights with its fruity aromas.
