Edi Simcic's Chardonnay was aged in barriques, which gives it an aroma and style similar to that of Burgundy wines. The wine-growing region of Goriska Brda, near the Italian Collio, is known far beyond Slovenia's wine world for its extraordinary wine culture.

On the nose, we perceive exotic notes of honeydew melon, pineapple, mango, banana and pear, followed by coconut, cloves, hazelnut, some caramel, tobacco and acacia flowers. Edi Simcic combines the variety of aromas in his Chardonnay to create an intense balance. On the palate, it is juicy, full-bodied and has a salty minerality. This fine interplay of fruit flavours is incredibly exciting and long-lasting.
