The classic Mirto di Sardegna rosso, made according to an old traditional Sardinian recipe from the largest family-run distillery in Sardinia. Handpicked myrtle berries from wild myrtle bushes make the liqueur from Distilleria RAU a real treat. The bushes for the Mirto grow in the untouched forests of Sardinia and are only harvested by hand when they are fully ripe.
The Mirto may only bear the designation "Mirto di Sardegna" if it was produced without any preservatives, flavorings or colorings or other additives. It is said to have a digestive effect, which is why it is preferably drunk as a digestif. But it is also a discovery as an aperitif. Serve it ice-cold, also with dessert or with an espresso. In addition to a fruity sweetness, the Mirto has an ethereal, tart note that makes it so unique and popular.
