The Valpolicella Superiore DOC di Falezze – pure red wine pleasure from Veneto. Luca Anselmi: The Valpolicella Superiore is made from Corvinone, Rondinella and Oseleta vines that are over 60 years old. The grapes are harvested between September and October and then undergo a short natural drying phase, as we also know it from Amarone. After fermentation, the wine is aged in French oak barrels.

The southwest-northeast location of the vineyards and the well-drained, calcareous soils give the Superiore a pronounced aroma of wild berries, strawberries and blueberries, ripe black cherries and sour cherries in the mouth and on the nose. The finish is long, complex and very round.

A Valpolicella Superiore that, in terms of its excellent aromas, surpasses many an Amarone and will bring a smile to the face of any fan of full-bodied red wines.
