Burja Stranpoti 2023 Organic Wine

We are delighted to have had the opportunity this year to secure a few cases of Burja Stranpoti before it sells out quickly, as it does every year. No wonder, as this orange wine cuvée made from Malvazija and Rebula is an outstanding natural wine that makes no compromises.

As with all wines from Primoz Lavrencic, the harvest here is carried out with a very low yield, with the best grapes selected by hand before the wine spends 20 days on the skins. It is then aged for 24 months in a concrete egg.

In the glass, it is a vibrant golden orange. Its sophistication is immediately apparent on the nose. Ripe apricot, balsamic notes, paprika and herbal aromas. On the palate, it is soft, very dry and mineral, with fine tannins. It develops a spicy character on the palate, with great structure and lovely length.

The Burja Stranpoti is an outstanding, refined orange wine from the Vipava Valley in Slovenia.
