For the Pleterje pear, after the pear trees have blossomed, the special bottle is attached to the small pears. The bottle is closed with mesh and fabric so that the bulb does not receive too much or too little light and does not overheat. In its small "greenhouse" it then grows to its full size and the full pear aroma develops. As soon as this is reached, the pear and the bottle are separated from the tree and cleaned by hand in the bottle with special small brushes. Great craftsmanship.

Then the pear brandy from the monastery's own distillery, made from the pears from its own monastery garden, is bottled and completes this unique brandy from Slovenia.

However, the pear is by no means just decoration. It gives the pear brandy freshness and fullness over time, which makes it so unique. You can also fill the bottle with the pear a second time. However, the fresh pear aroma will then no longer be quite as intense.
