Fruity, fresh – this Refosk from Istria

The grapes for this red wine are carefully harvested by hand in September. After fermentation and biological deacidification, the wine is aged partly in large oak barrels and partly in stainless steel barrels, where it retains its fruity character and freshness.

As is typical for Refosk, its colour is an intense ruby red, almost violet.

The fruity bouquet is reminiscent of blackberries, blueberries and ripe sour cherries and blends beautifully with a delicate, ripe wood aroma.

Refosk has a full, soft taste, pleasantly cheerful with a fruity, pleasant acidity. A beautiful, elegant wine that finishes with a fruity aftertaste, in which sour cherries and pleasant tannins come into their own.

For us, it is the perfect red wine for the summer months. Try it chilled on hot days. A refreshing and invigorating experience!
