The Mea Sipon Pet-Nat is Matic's signature sparkling wine, a true love story. He decided to name the Pet-Nat ‘Mea’, which means ‘my’ in Latin, because it was the first sparkling wine he made commercially.

Pét-Nat is an abbreviation of the French term pétillant-naturel. The term is used for natural sparkling wines made using the ‘méthode ancestrale’. In this process, the sparkling wine goes into the bottle before the first fermentation is complete. The quality of the sparkling wine is then obtained from the naturally produced carbonic acid from the sugars contained in the grapes.

Each bottle of Mea Pet-Nat from Slovenia is individually vinified and bottled, so no two are exactly the same. Roll or gently turn the bottle over before opening to get the real, unfiltered Pet-Nat experience. The nose is characterised by intense notes of lime and green apple. On the palate, it is fresh with light acidity, green apple flavours and light notes of bread - typical of very good sparkling wines.
