Fruity and fresh – this Refosk from Istria is a real mood-lifter

The grapes for this red wine are carefully harvested by hand in September. After fermentation and biological deacidification, the wine matures partly in large oak barrels and partly in stainless steel barrels, where it retains its fruity character and freshness.

As is typical for Refosco, it has an intense ruby red colour, almost violet.

On the nose, the fruity bouquet is reminiscent of blackberries, blueberries and ripe sour cherries, combining beautifully with a delicate, ripe woody aroma.

Refosco has a full, soft flavour, pleasantly cheerful with a fruity, pleasant acidity. It is a beautiful, elegant wine that finishes with a fruity aftertaste in which sour cherries and pleasant tannins come into their own.

For us, this is the perfect red wine for the summer months. Feel free to try it chilled on hot days. A refreshing and invigorating experience!
