Batic Cabernet Franc 2021

A great Cabernet Franc

Produced from 100% Cabernet Franc grapes from the Jazbine and Brajda vineyards in the coastal region of the Vipava Valley in Slovenia. The soil consists of marl, and the planting density of the vines is between 5,000 and 12,000 vines per hectare. The vines are already 35 years old. The yield is low due to the very high demands on the vines for organic wine. Only the best of the best are harvested. Miha Batic does not use sulphur in the wine-making process.

The Cabernet Franc has an excellent structure, full aromas and a strong body. It has a deep ruby red colour. In addition to forest berries and herbs, we detect peppery notes in the aroma. These are joined by smoky tones – what a red wine! you might exclaim. The notes from the bouquet continue in the mouth. An elegant harmony develops with soft, silky tannins.

The finish is full-bodied – voluminous and so beautifully long. What a red wine delight!
