If any grape variety represents a region in Slovenia, it is the white wine variety Rebula (Ribolla Gialla) for Goriska Brda. The soils and climate of the Slovenian wine region are perfectly suited to it, and so wonderful Rebula wines are produced in all price ranges. The Quercus Rebula from the Klet Brda wine cooperative is no exception. A fruity, soft, fresh Rebula, harvested exclusively by hand and aged 100% in steel tanks.

In the glass, it is a clear golden yellow with green reflections, as is typical for the variety. On the nose, it has aromas of lemon, green apple, cedar and grapefruit, nicely rounded off by delicate notes of acacia. On the palate, it is clear and fresh, with a beautifully salty minerality that gives the white wine structure and body. The subtle acidity adds to the freshness without dominating. The finish is still clear and medium-long.

Quercus Rebula shows us exactly why the variety is so popular beyond the borders of Goriska Brda. A wonderful white wine from Slovenia.
