New to our range – Istrska Belica organic olive oil from Gregor Lisjak in Slovenian Istria.

The indigenous Istrska Belica olive variety from Slovenian Istria, which holds a Protected Designation of Origin, boasts a very pleasant fruitiness with green notes. On the nose, the aromas are pure and clear: freshly cut grass, green tomatoes, tomato leaves and green almonds. On the palate, this organic olive oil from Slovenia initially surprises with a mild, subtle sweetness, giving way to clearly defined bitter notes and a lovely, long-lasting piquancy – the hallmark of Istrska Belica.

This olive variety is characterised by an exceptionally high content of natural antioxidants, particularly polyphenols, which give the oil a pronounced sensory intensity and remarkable oxidative stability.

The olives used for Istrska Belica come exclusively from Gregor Lisjak’s own olive groves in Slovenian Istria and are harvested at the optimum stage of ripeness before being gently processed in his own oil mill within a few hours.

Istrska Belica is perfect as an accompaniment to meat and other grilled dishes.
