Slovenian orange wine Pinot Gris

You wouldn't immediately assume that it's a white wine from the color of Matic's Pinot Gris in the bottle. The orange wine remains in contact with the peel for almost 18 days, giving it this beautiful color and texture. Like all Matic wines in this line, it is unfiltered and aged in steel tanks.

On the nose we notice red apples, a hint of grapefruit and even a slight hint of forest honey. Invigorating aromas of lemon, red apple peel and orchard fruits on the palate. The finish is lush and long with a lingering lovely note of dried oranges. Despite the longer maceration time, the Pinot Gris from Slovenia is fresh, lively and hardly characterized by tannins, which makes it wonderfully soft.

A great natural wine and a nice way to surprise your guests with an unusual white wine.
