The Vernatsch grape variety is probably more synonymous with red wine from South Tyrol than any other. The vines whose grapes are used for Castelfeder Vernatsch are up to 80 years old in some cases, giving this Italian wine its unique character.

The wine is aged in stainless steel tanks to perfectly bring out the fruity, fresh aromas of the Vernatsch. A light ruby red in the glass. On the nose, aromas of morello cherries accompanied by notes of almonds. Very stimulating. Fresh and juicy on the palate, with a fine structure. A pleasant acidity that highlights its fresh character.

Enjoy Vernatsch young and lightly chilled, preferably with a tasty snack, antipasti or roast meat.
