The flagship red wine from Movia

Veliko Rdece is a spectacular Bordeaux-style red wine cuvée. All the grapes used in the cuvée undergo maceration together, creating new synergies in the aromas. A blend of Merlot and smaller proportions of Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. As with all Movia wines, the biodynamically cultivated grapes are harvested as late as possible to optimally support the ripening process. After fermentation with the own yeasts, a 6-year maturation in barriques follows. The long maturation period results in a remarkably complex and mature wine that responds very well to further storage.

The colour is a medium-deep ruby red, proudly displaying the wine's venerable age. Notes of blackcurrant, cherry and sweet spice point to Bordeaux varieties coming from a fresh, cooler climate. These are complemented by notes of truffle, dark chocolate, leather and fine oak. The palate is dry with ripe, flexible tannins and a silky texture. The aroma completely fills the mouth and offers a unique, long-lasting experience. Its full body, soft tannins and very elegant structure are further characteristics of the red wine experience that Ales Kristancic from the Movia winery offers us here.
