Rare Torbato from Sardinia
he white wine grape variety Torbato is a traditional Sardinian variety. It is said to have reached the coast of the Iberian Peninsula thanks to the Phoenicians and was later brought to the island by the Catalans. The name of the wine "Terre Bianche" comes from the calcareous soils favored by this fascinating white wine variety.
On the nose we perceive aromas of citrus, floral notes of chamomile and fruity notes of white peaches, finely interspersed with mineral notes.
Its fullness and softness are evident in the mouth. It was bottled with very little residual sugar, which underscores the minerality and dry character. Notes of peach and grapefruit emerge again A wonderfully oily white wine from Sardinia. Very engaging, yet stimulatingly fresh with a long finish.
