White Pét-Nat from the Vipava Valley - pure nature!

Pét-Nat, short for the French term pétillant-naturel, is an exciting "new" type of sparkling wine. Pét-Nat is used for natural sparkling wines, produced using the "méthode ancestrale". The sparkling wine is bottled before the first fermentation is complete. The quality of the Pét-Nat is then obtained from the naturally generated carbonic acid from the sugars contained in the grapes.

Fedora's white Pét-Nat is made from the local Slovenian Rebula variety and shows us the virtues of this type of sparkling wine. It sparkles golden-yellow in the glass and the fruity notes of apples and peaches, as well as beautiful citrus notes, are already perceptible here. Very soft in the mouth and with a perfect harmony of acidity and minerality.

Pét-Nat sparkling wines are naturally cloudy, as all natural substances such as yeast are still contained in the sparkling wine. If you want to enjoy it clear, look through the sailor's eye on the front of the bottle. As soon as you spot the mermaid, the wine has cleared and the yeast has settled at the bottom of the bottle.
