Fascinating single-vineyard wine from Edi Simcic. The Kozana vineyard is one of the winery's best locations. Northwest exposure - sunny, but also windy. Perfect for the Sauvignon grape variety. The soil is riddled with large stones, a lot of water in the depths of the hill, exceptional permeability of the soil. The Sauvignon vines have very deep roots and were planted in 1986.

Edi Simcic is the master of intense, powerful white wines in the Burgundy style, which he remains true to here. Aged in barriques, the Kozana Sauvignon develops its full potential. The interplay of spice, fruit and minerals is what makes it so engaging. Gooseberries, lemons, cassis, apricots, Mediterranean and local herbs such as sage and lemon balm. Combined with vanilla, fine smoke aromas, brioche and elderflower. Nice saltiness.
