Edi Simcic's Kolos is what we like to call a "flavor miracle". He is not stingy with his charms and is almost wasteful with the variety of flavors. A truly great Bordeaux blend. The red wine cuvée from Goriska Brda in Slovenia is made up of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Around 48 months of aging in barriques contribute to this great red.
The scent has aromas of cherries, cassis, blackberries and rose hips, followed by cedar, tobacco, mocha, smoke and vanilla. Chocolate and herbal notes. Every sniff brings out something new and increases the anticipation on the palate. Here it is complex, full of spicy fruit and muscular elegance (true to its name) and determined by a perfect tannin structure. It lasts a long time. Endlessly long.
