Located in the Goriska Brda region near Collio in Italy, Edi Simcic grows excellent wines with deep terroir character. For his Malvazija, only the best grapes were picked by hand in the early hours of the morning and brought to the wine cellar while still cool. After alcoholic fermentation, the white wine from Slovenia matured on the fine yeast in barriques for around 10 months. The aging of white wines in barriques in the French style is characteristic of the wine style of the exceptional winemaker Edi Simcic and his son Aleks Simcic.Intense aromas of apricot, citrus fruits and peach on the nose. Finely rounded off by characteristic vanilla aromas, butter notes and floral accents. It literally invites you to continue your journey of discovery. On the palate it shows all its fullness and wonderful melting. The Malvazija literally melts in your mouth. Here we also clearly recognize the terroir of the Goriska Brda. The salty minerality and fine spice, followed by a very long finish, elegantly round off this wine experience from Slovenia.
