The Prince Sipon by Matija Zerjav, known as Matic, is one of our new discoveries for 2025 that has quickly become a favourite wine. A wonderful orange wine interpretation of the Furmint (Sipon) grape.
The grapes are harvested by hand, followed by a 5-day maceration on the skins. No filtration. Maturation takes place partly in concrete eggs and amphorae.

In the glass, it is a very warm golden orange. On the nose, exotic fruits, pineapple, melon and citrus aromas are accompanied by pear and quince. Soft, fresh, juicy and mineral on the palate. Here, the Furmint shows its beautiful acidity structure.

The Prince Sipon orange wine from Matic in Slovenia is the perfect summer wine. Fresh, juicy, exotic, invigorating. Simply a delight.
