Piedmont
The Piedmont region in northern Italy is a true paradise for red wine lovers. Around 90% of the total wine-growing area is devoted to red wine grapes such as Nebbiolo and Barbera. Nebbiolo is used to produce the famous DOCG wines Barolo and Barbaresco, among others. However, the white wines of this Italian region are also a pure delight. First and foremost are Arneis and the Cortese grape variety, which forms the basis of the well-known Gavi.
