Slovenian Pinot Gris Orange Wine

Judging by the colour of Matic’s Pinot Gris in the bottle, you wouldn’t immediately think it was a white wine. The orange wine remains in contact with the skins for almost 18 days, which gives it this beautiful colour and texture. Like all Matic wines in this range, it is unfiltered and aged in stainless steel tanks.

On the nose, we detect red apples, a hint of grapefruit and even a slight hint of wild honey. On the palate, invigorating aromas of lemons, red apple peel and orchard fruits. The finish is lush and long, with a lingering, lovely note of dried oranges. Despite the longer maceration period, this Pinot Gris from Slovenia is fresh, lively and barely tannic, making it wonderfully smooth.
