Matija Zerjav, known as Matic, produces fascinating natural wines without compromise. The Frankovka is a perfect example of a natural wine made from Blaufränkisch grapes, which is impressive across the board and also simply enjoyable. Hand-picking is as natural to Matic as the unfiltered nature of his wines. The Frankovka is aged in steel tanks, which gives it its freshness and brilliant fruitiness.

In the glass, it is a beautiful deep, dark red with violet reflections. The nose reveals cherries, blackberries and slightly spicy cinnamon notes. On the palate, it is very lively and fresh with pleasant acidity and a long finish. The cherry and cinnamon aromas remain present, complemented by subtle pepper notes.
